The Great Mouse Detective is the oldest Disney movie that I recall owning. I still have it on VHS and it’s still the oldest VHS that I own. I loved it as a kid. And just a year ago or so, I watched it again (as an adult obviously). And now I have a much deeper appreciation for it as an adult. Since I now know about Sherlock Holmes, and have a bigger love for Vincent Price. It was fantastic to watch again. And also confirmed my younger fears. (Some parts of that movie really scared me as a kid, and rewatching it helped me get over those fears.)

I just had to make a separate post about TGMD.
